Luxury dining room design classic style ideas

luxury dining room design classic style ideaselegant home style design

Here’s the Robert Couturier interior design project of House of Atlanta, this house is using the luxury Victorian interior design style. Victorian interior design style was very famous in the time of Queen Victoria, the whole interior decoration is very lavish, luxurious and ornate – think colors, fabrics, patterns, lots of furniture, photos and knick-knacks. The whole feel is warm, comfortable, cozy, and – in spite of what you are probably thinking about the Victorians as people – very relaxed, and easy to live with! All the rooms at this house were designed using classic furniture and nice arrangement, these are very inspiring photos if you looking for about Victorian interior design inspiration.

Wherever you decide to integrate your office or study area, there are four basic design principles that you should follow to make the space work.

In a dual-purpose room you effectively have two layouts. So it's important that they both work. Any plans for layout are inevitably constrained by the size and shape of the room itself.

It is a good idea with an awkward shaped space to cut out paper templates of the major pieces of furniture that you're going to put in the room. That way you can see space that something like a sofa bed will take up, both open and folded away. This will enable you to clearly decide the focus of the room and the most efficient placing of the item to maximise space.

In a dual-purpose room you have to plan layouts for both functions, so some spaces will have double uses. Office clutter should be cleverly concealed at night.

Design Modern VIP Home Decoration

Design Modern VIP Home DecorationBedrooms has traditionally been designed to be more enclosed and private. Enveloped spaces with solid walls means less natural light and more restraint design. New trends in modern bedrooms breaks these tradition by letting more light in with large clear glass windows and better ventilation. These new directions in bed room design makes it look more spacious and delightful. Traditionally solid walls are used to divide the master bath and the main bedroom. This is done mainly to provide privacy between the attached bathrooms and the bed. Recent trends in modern bedroom designs breaks away from this tradition by using glass partitions as dividing walls. Glass partitions are not only sturdy but also stylish. For privacy within this glass walls one could use venetian blinds or frosted glass which still allows light in without loosing privacy.

Home Interior Design

People in the market for new homes usually have their eyes on different key features during the search for their potential perfect abodes. Some desire a convenient location, some look for luxurious spaciousness, some seek a lush garden and others are after all of those things at once -- or other elements entirely.

One aspect that generally doesn't play a huge part in the decision is how the house functions in terms of energy efficiency. Not to underscore the importance of this characteristic -- after all, you'll most likely be getting monthly reminders judging your home's heating and cooling capabilities the entire length of your ownership -- it's just that with so many other thoughts swimming through the head of someone in the market for a home, energy aptitude isn't often a deal-breaker, or a deal-closer for that matter.

But in terms of other homebuyers, that's definitely not the case. For them, one of the utmost important aspects of the purchase of a new home is how efficiently it performs -- some people even build a home expressly to spare themselves the monthly joy of power bills. One of the ways they can go about achieving this energy independence is to build a home using the patented Enertia Building System. The system works by taking advantage of age-old building concepts along with innovative new techniques, and while it might not completely erase the power bills, it can definitely ease them down into a more reasonable range. The basis of the concept centers around -- and these aren't spindly two-by-fours. Unlike conventional modern homes, Enertia houses are massive structures built entirely of wood, and this wood acts in an interesting fashion. On the next page, we'll take a look at the components of a house built using the Enertia Building System and see how everything comes together.

The second story of my house was meant to be an attic. Maybe. We’re not really sure. An elderly neighbor who has lived in our house’s double since both were built told us the tale of refinishing his upper story a little bit at a time, so we know that the second stories of our Capes didn’t start out finished. But there were standard-size staircases in both houses from the very beginning. So our homes started out with giant unfinished attics accessible by full stairways and two windows in each “room”? Or were the houses built with the intention that the homeowners would eventually finish the second story spaces? We don’t know.

What we do know is that between then and now, someone decided to finish one half of our second story very, very badly. I’m talking gaps between drywall, icky carpet, cheap heaters, outlets on the sloping parts of the walls, and more. And the other “room” is still unfinished. Bare beams and boards. No outlets at all. What’s this mean for us? It means we’re looking for sloped wall bedroom/office inspiration so we can make our second story an adults-only zone.

Winning design

The new building fits in with the Port Authority’s future-oriented investment policy. At the same board meeting it was also decided to purchase four tugs as part of a renewal series of nine. And of course there will be further investments in infrastructure for expansion and renovation of the port. The various Flemish port authorities are currently holding discussions with the Flemish Government about financing for basic port infrastructure.

The Port Authority aims to make its operations more efficient by centralising the administrative and technical services which are now divided between the Port House and quay 63. The new headquarters will also solve the pressing shortage of workspace in the present Port House on the Entrepot quay. Some 500 people will be able to move into the new building when it is completed in 2013.

In addition to offering better accommodation, the future Port House will contribute to further development and upgrading of the part of the city known as Het Eilandje. The brief for the new building specified that it had to symbolise the Port of Antwerp as a world port and economic driver of Flanders and the Antwerp area. It also had to be built according to the principles of sustainability.

Eco Architecture: 'Eco House' teaches the art of concealing ugly solar panels from view

Geothermal energy cannot be harnessed all over the globe. Conventional grid electricity can serve as a more practical backup mechanism instead of a system that doesn’t work.

Eco Factor : Sustainable house to be powered by solar and geothermal energy.

Sustainable architecture and sustainable housing are new names in urban residential complexes. Spanish design firm DesiƱo Earle has designed a new solar house that could take sustainability to a new level. Known as the “Eco House,” the house is a modern eco-villa with all the amenities for futuristic green living.

To keep the design of the house green yet trendy, architects have figured out a great way to generate solar electricity without sacrificing the overall aesthetics of the design. Solar panels are of course placed on the top of the roof, but here they are placed on a secondary ceiling that is located at a steep 45 degree gradient. This angular arrangement not only conceals the solar panels from view, but also ensures that they do get the maximum amount of sunlight.
